AIPL Joy Gallery has been envisioned and designed to stand as a landmark defining the sky.
Here, the architectural thought by D.P. Architects, was to create a development that compliments retail and corporate environment with a design philosophy that weaves nature into built spaces, providing an integrated design with flexible open public spaces resulting in an environment that moulds itself as a brilliant architectural marvel.
The retail architecture is conceived as a high street mall. The entry into the retail is kept porous with access through pedestrian plazas opening into smaller streets & interactive spaces. The upper levels of Retail & Entertainment zone are easily accessed through strategically placed elevators, escalators and bridges.
The retail stores are planned around the internal open to sky streets with the upper levels set back from the Ground floor retail to enhance their visibility.
A retail 'Jewel Box' is carved out on the north face, separated from rest of the Retail through a pedestrian street. The Jewel Box is the focal point of the retail & offers a unique retail experience. The flared form is inspired from the appearance of a gem or Jewel. This cluster of retail can be directly accessed from the pedestrian plaza.
The office tower rises on the South-west side of the retail development. The diamond shaped footprint of the office floors is accentuated volumetrically through the alternating 'folds' in the facade. The large footprint of the office tower calls to attention the entire development.
